Does Drinking Water Really Help?

With winter around the corner, and all of that forced air heat, our skin naturally loses water.

Many have claimed that drinking water gives you a radiant, healthy, younger-looking complexion, while others say it has no effect on the skin’s appearance whatsoever.

So, what’s the truth?

If your skin is not getting enough water, the lack of hydration will cause it to turn dry, tight and flaky. Dry skin is less resilient and is more prone to wrinkling.

So what are the best ways to hydrate your skin?

• You can “lock” moisture into your skin by using moisturizer, which creates a physical barrier keeping moisture in.
• Apply moisturizer within 2 minutes of leaving the bath or shower. The skin is still porous, allowing increased absorption.
• Drink more water. Drinking at least 8 glasses a day will help rid the skin of toxins. Many report that by increasing their water intake, their skin has a more radiant glow.

Try it and find out!
